The first Kill Kim was born during a spontaneous photo shoot between Yugnat and Blandinebs. It’s during the shoot, by changing angles and sets, that the resemblance between the model Blandinebs and Kim Novak appeared, giving birth to the first Kill Kim and the fall in the stairs as a reference to Vertigo. Both were enticed by the multiple exploration possibilities of this “série noire”. Kill Kim is born to die and be reincarnated over and over again, abandoning herself in a tragic end while preserving the spectator’s freedom to invent its own story. The Kill Kim series is a collaborative partnership between Yugnat's photographs and Blandinebs' texts. Inspired by the great Hitchcock and Kim Novak, the series invites to a journey filled with poetry and mystery, reminding us of life’s ephemeral fragility. |
